About the Position

 

Altex is developing high performance heat exchangers and thermal management systems, for use in military and commercial energy and power markets. The military product line is growing substantially, and a position is open for a dynamic candidate, with engineering background for maintaining the quality of the final product, by managing the quality of the parts and assemblies that are delivered by the suppliers and contract manufacturers, to ensure that the MIL SPEC product meets the required quality standard and the specifications, for shipment to the customer. The position requires a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with degree (MS) or BS Minor in Quality, with 2 years of experience with Quality, related to mechanical systems. Position and responsibilities will be based on candidate review.

Altex provides very competitive benefits packages, to all full time employees.  Employees are provided three weeks Paid Time Off (PTO), and ten days of paid holidays.  Altex insurance programs cover medical, dental, vision, worker’s compensation, and life insurance.  Altex also has a retirement plan, which employees are entitled to after one year of continuous employment with the company.  This plan includes a tax deferred retirement account, which the employee controls, through a family of mutual funds.  Historically, the company has contributed 5-10% of the employee’s base salary to the employee’s account.  In addition, bonus targets are set at the beginning of each yearly review period, which are executed if the staff meets the mutually agreed to objectives.  Our interest in the setting of the compensation package is to ensure that the staff member is rewarded for their efforts, at Altex.
